What will you do?

As the Business Services Manager (Staff Services Manager II-Supervisory), you will direct the functions of the Business Services Unit (BSU), including contracting, procurement, facility management and space planning, records management, asset management, mail distribution, and the reception desk tasks. The Business Services Manager is a working supervisor responsible for supervising and directing subordinate staff in their day-to-day responsibilities as well as personally conducting the more complex analytical work.

  • You have experience exercising a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in managing and directing the functions of a multi-disciplined team.
  • You have exemplary customer service skills and ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • You have extensive knowledge and experience working with Fi$Cal.
  • You have extensive leadership experience with contracts, procurement, project management, innovation and automation.
  • You have experience managing a workload and providing updates and information to key stakeholders, including upper and executive management.
  • You have strong analytical and communication skills with demonstrated experience synthesizing information and communicating in a clear and concise manner.
  • You have experience leading a team responsible for managing multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to lift, carry, load, and unload boxes, supplies, equipment, and other materials weighing 20 pounds or more.

  1. Describe your project management experience in development and implementation of Procurement and Contracts Administration, Office Moves, and Facility Services and Asset Management, including strategy development and implementation, governance, and change management with multiple stakeholders.
  2. Please describe your experience in handling difficult situations and subordinate staff. How do you resolve, overcome and provide a work environment conducive to productivity and increased morale?
