Recommendation #21 To: Teacher Credentialing, California Commission on

To ensure that employees understand their right to file either an EEO complaint or a grievance, and to reduce any associated fear of retaliation, the commission should actively notify employees annually of its EEO complaint and grievance processes, including the protection from retaliation included in both.

6-Month Agency Response

The commission stated that it plans to remind all staff members annually of the EEO and Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy and that staff will be required to certify that they have reviewed the policy. (See 2012-406, p. 61)
