To determine whether parolees with mental illness who have housing needs are receiving necessary services and support during their parole terms, Corrections should review its processes for connecting these individuals to county services by ensuring that it is collecting sufficient, consistent data to review those metrics.

2022 Update: Date to be completed, pending federal approval. As part of the CalAIM 1115 demonstration waiver (p. 55), DHCS will evaluate the justice-involved initiatives, including 90-day pre-release services, to "assess progress toward achieving the desired outcomes." This will include ensuring that the appropriate data elements are captured.
