What is the position?
As the Business Services Analyst (Staff Services Analyst), you work as part of the Business Services team to support two main functions of the office consisting of purchasing and procuring goods and assisting with contract development. Specifically, you will be involved in purchases for the office by soliciting and evaluating bids, facilitating the purchasing process, and working with vendors and customers. You will also assist the Contract Analyst with researching, analyzing, developing and preparing contracts for the Office. To perform these tasks effectively, you work collaboratively with management, customers, and the members of your team. You use good judgement to produce high quality work, make recommendations to improve efficiency, establish and maintain positive working relationships, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What will you do?
- You will directly support the work of the unit's Contract Analysts.
- You will assist with determining the appropriate method for obtaining contracts, coordinating the bid and the contract award process.
- You will research, develop, and prepare key documents including Interagency Agreements, Personnel Services Contracts, and Maintenance Agreements.
- You will maintain procurement files, manage tracking systems, and analyze data to develop reports on purchasing trends and best practices.
- You will analyze existing policies and practices, recommend improvements, and provide training to other staff.
